Age 11 - Finalist in the 200m Butterfly Southern Counties Championships, Crystal Palace.

Age 12 - National Champs 800m & 200m Freestyle, Ponds Forge Sheffield.

2009
Age 16 - Regional Champion for 200m, 400m, 800m & 1500m freestyle, Norwich.
Age 16 - National Champion 5km Open Water, Rother Valley.

2011
Met Reece Barclay whilst training with Hatfield Elite Swim Squad, Hertfordshire Uni.
August - Competed in the Olympic Test Event 10km Open Water, Hyde Park.

2012
March - Swam the 5th fastest all time British Short Course 1500m freestyle at 16:15
April - London 2012 Olympic trials, finalist in 800m freestyle, Stratford.

2013
March - 4th place British Championships 1500m freestyle, Leeds.
June - Works in Marketing department at Paradise Wildlife Park, Broxbourne.
August - Signs up for Ironman UK and starts to train for triathlon.

2014
April - Becomes a Personal Trainer and sets up company Pulse Fitness Personal Trainers
with partner Reece.
July - Competes in first ever Ironman, finishes 2nd in AG.

2015
June - Wins 18-24 AG at Ironman 70.3 Staffordshire.
July - Wins 18-24 AG at Ironman UK.
August - Wins 18-24 AG at 70.3 World Championships, Zell am See.
October - Wins 18-24 AG at Win Ironman World Championships, Kona Hawaii.

2016
Applies for Pro licence and is initially refused by Brit Tri, only to be given on a trial basis.
May - Comes 3rd at her first pro race : Ironman Lanzarote.
June - Finishes 4th at Ironman Staffordshire but was unable to race for the rest of the season due to a stress fracture in the Femur.

2017
January - Finishes 10th at Ironman 70.3 Dubai.
April - Finishes 2nd by 6 seconds at Challenge Gran Canaria.
April - Decides to go full time pro and stops working as a personal trainer.
May - Wins Ironman Lanzarote and breaks bike course record.
June - Wins the inaugural Challenge The Championship, for the first time.
July - Finished 2nd at Ironman Frankfurt and qualifies for World Champs in Kona.
October - Comes 2nd to Daniela Ryf at the Ironman World Championship on pro debut.

2018
April - Wins Ironman African Championship, validates her slot for the World Champs.
June - Wins Challenge The Championship for the second time.
October - Finishes 2nd at the Ironman World Championship and breaks the 19 year old swim course record.
December - Marries Reece Barclay, and becomes Lucy Charles-Barclay.

April - Defends her winning title at the Ironman African Championship and validates her slot for the World Champs in Kona.
June - Wins Challenge The Championship for the third year in a row.
June - Wins Ironman 70.3 Staffordshire and validates for the 70.3 Worlds in Nice.
September - Finishes 5th at Ironman 70.3 World Champs. Nice, France.
October - Finishes 2nd at Ironman World Champs. Kona, Hawaii.
